    I am fascinated by the structure of wood at a mico-scale.  I propose we use 3d printed wood to form an intricate model of wood, blown up to a 12″x12″ table top cube.

    These would make great educational tools.  I’ve seen a lot of homemade models of different sized drinking straws and stir sticks held together with rubber bands.  This would one up those.

    I really like the idea. Wish we had one of those around when I studied wood anatomy…
